This personal project was made to illustrate the Sanjuaneña murga’s song named “La Chalina”. I wanted to represent dance, happiness and colour that is possible to find and experiment in the south of Colombia, specifically in Nariño.

The characters are hummingbirds (typical birds of Colombia) and the insignia flower of San Juan de Pasto: The Zarcillejo well known as “Bailarina”.
